The 1996 year had begun full of hope for Luca Cadalora, Italian driver of 500cc Class who was expecting a significant result ahead. After leading the YZR Yamaha for the last 3 seasons (1993, 1994, 1995), Luca was convinced that would be necessary to drive a Honda NSR 500 in order to fight against Mick Doohan, twice in row champion of the series already in that year.
Despite the 2 victories (Shah Alam and Nurburgring) Luca and his fabulous white NSR, would finish the season in 3rd place, just behind the oficial "sisters" lead by Doohan and Crivillé, oficial drivers of Honda Team and sponsorshiped by Repsol and HRC.
After he certified himself that would not be possible to get the status of official driver for the next year (1997), the Italian driver decided to go back home (Yamaha). After all, the colors and sponsorships that Luca had brought on his Honda NSR in 1996, are remembered as one of the most beautiful scheme, because it had a clean decoration in comparision to the other bikes that usually used to bring many sponsorships. Nevertheless, Honda NSR was known for its sucess history as one of the best bikes of all times and Cadalora was recognized as a great driver.
It was used Ragged Edges - Legends Decals - built on 2013
